I was flushin out my old fluid cuz it was dark brown like really old motor oil and using valvoline synpower that says gm approved, i went to drive off this mornin and the wheel woulnt move, its not locked the power steering is not workin, any ideas

all you need to do is leave the cap off and turn the wheel back and forth a few times
little OT but does air in the system cause the steering pump to make a noise?not a loud noise just the sound of the gears or whatever thats in it?
Yeah, air in the system/lack of fluid will cause a squeeling noise. It could lead to a bad pump if not taken care of soon enough.

is a good way to get rid of it just open the cap and turn the wheels for a bit to force the air out?
