Well I just picked up a 97 Z24, and the fuel pump is bad. We can pour gas into the tb and it will run...
My question is, what year fuel pumps can I use? Every auto store around here wants more than 250 for one, and I just want to get one from the yard and put it in. Also, are the 2.2 pumps the same as the 2.4?
Thanks

doesnt matter. it can PRODUCE that kind of pressure. its the fuel pressure regulator that determines the actual psi. i was just giving you an alternative to a $250 module, or a $35 setup from a junk yard that for all you know, doesnt work.

96-99 J's. 2.2 and 2.4's are the same pump. I had one but just sold it.

Ok well we have everything done except for the damn plastic connector on the fuel line. We have the metal quick disconnect one off, but that plastic one we can't get off. Any ideas?
