Ok i've looked but haven't found what i was looking for and am getting pissed

long story short i let my aunt drive my car for the 1st time ever and the ignition key switched is seized in the off position meaning it wont move fromt he off position.. i'm missing a hell of alot of work because of this.. i was wondering if i can wire a toggle switch to start the car and make it drivable if the ignition is in the off position.. my car is an 02 base model sedan and has the theft light.. please help me i'm getting pissed over this

The short answer is no. You need to have the car in the "run" position for it to, well, run. You can wire in a bunch of switches and whatnot, but that'll be more time and money than just changing out the ignition switch.

yeah i kinda figured that.. its gonna cost a grip to get the ignition fixed isnt it.. i just got a steering column and keys from a J yard for 20 bucks.. and keys.. what else would i need to do this?
