FYI its a 98' 2200 5-speed
1) my check engine light is always on, is that normal? or should I take it back to the dealership?
2) When driving in reverse, it "hums" I don't know how else to explain it, is that normal?
3) Some times I've noticed the SHIFT ^ indicator won't work
4) When I turn on my head lights, the right turn signal comes on steady and stays on, or if I use the right turn signal, it flashes rapidly, but the lights are not burned out

Take it back to the shop that did the engine work it could all be related to the engine job.
Well the check engine light is off now, I think what caused it was when they finished the car, they didn't reconnect the IAT(I moved it)
I fixed the wires, and the car sat for a few hours and when I started it, the check engine light went away.
Also, i've had no problems with the shift light. however, I still have these problems;
1) When driving in reverse, it "hums" I don't know how else to explain it, is that normal?
2) When I turn on my head lights, the right turn signal comes on steady and stays on, or if I use the right turn signal, it flashes rapidly, but the lights are not burned out

For number 2, check all the bulbs on that side of the car, make sure they are good, if so look for a loose or disconnected ground.
seems like the turn signal bulb is mis wired... the bulb filaments are wired backwards... switch the blue and brown wires ... i think... around and should solve the problem
Well I found the problem for #2 (#1 is fine I guess).
The right light in the bumper(fog light?) is burned out.
How do I go about changing it?
Can I just pry it out, or do I have to take the bumper off ?

in my 00 the fog lights can be just pulled out w/out taking the bumber off. crawl under there and take a gander
