I had an electrical issue that burned out my ICM. I got a used one, had it tested (good), and put it in. The cars idle was crap because It was not firing on cyl 1 & 4. I took everything apart (coil packs & ICM) now 1 and 4 will fire, but 2 & 3 wont fire. WTF? Pulled the module. Had it tested again, still shows good. I then noticed ~with the car off after running it~ the alt is buzzing. I unplugged the alt and it stopped. Plugged it back in, it buzzes. OK so I unplugged the neg batt. It stopped. Hooked up the batt, Started the car. (crap idle) Shut it down, alt buzzing. I unplugged the PCM fuse and it stopped. Plugged the fuse in and it starts buzzing again. Seems the only way to get it to not buzz while power is hooked up is to kill all the power to the PCM for a short time. ( this would also explain why my batt dies overnight if the PCM is sending voltage to the alt)
SO. the alt buzz, combined with my ign problem. Does this mean my PCM is bad? Or could it be something else?
Also, the alternator was tested and is fine. Please help.
Thanx
Screw it, Why do I bother.
