On my 96 2.2 Cavalier I can tell that the a/c is cooling but the blower motor does not work no matter what speed I select, besides the ovious, fuses, what should I look for? is there a easy way to troubleshoot to see if tne blower fan is bad or is another problem. Thanks for your info!
I would get the blower motor out and apply 12 volts directly to see if it runs and go from there...
True on the resistor block, but that normall exhibits the sympton of only works on high.
I have had the panel switch fail, giving me the completely inop symptom. Besides applying 12V directly to the motor, to confirm the motor is good, I would also pull out the panel and bypass the panel switch to try and confirm panel switch operation.
First make sure it really does not work in any position (low, med , high, etc), as certainly the bad resistor is one of the most common failures on this system.
