ok so about the past month or so... sometimes my car wont turn over at the first try... and when i turn it off... it makes kinda of a weird noise if i turn the key to fast... if i turn the key back to ACC, then turn it off its fine. but if i do it fast without stopping it makes a weird noise... newayz i went outside to go to work today and my car wouldnt start... i turn the key and it starts to come on... then i just hear the clicking of the starter... then i try it again and all i hear is the rapid clicking of the starter ( i think thats what it is)... my guess is thefuel pump... what do you guys think?
its a 96 chevy cavalier 2.2 manual
starter solonoid may be with the noise... when they fail sounds like a drummer hitting your engine block with a pair of hammers
whats your battery voltage? is it the proper battery size? good fluid level? if your battery is the wrong size and your starter pulls too much amperage.. it will sound simmilar

my mom has the camera right now... shell be home soon.... it has 2 oval holes in it on the sides with copper wiring inside of it..
well i cant get a picture of it but i found out its the battery... my neighboor gave me a jump and it went thru... i got the battery charging right now... thanks for the help though
np.. is it a sealed battery?
if it isnt pull off the + & -,check the fluid.. if its low (lead is showing) fill with distilled water.. make sure its just above the lead..
clean your terminals with wire brush and apply deox..
or do what everyone else does, get a optima battery
