Dead starter?

I installed my AFPR today, and after some initial problems seemed to have everything figured out. Car was running rich and i planned to have it tuned in a few days. I was driving aorund not boosting up, and maybe, maybe 3000 rpms, in 4th and if felt like my fuel pressure just cut out. Then the car stalled understandably. So i pulled over and checked, couldn't find any leaks. I figured the AFPR shut down and stopped letting fuel through, but i think the car might still run since it's after the fuel rail.

After checking vac lines and fuel lines, I cranked it over for maybe 15 seconds.... nothing

So i pushed it into a parking lot, and look around some more, and give it a few more cranks, still nothing. I pull the plugs, and they're rich, as expected.

O=The last time i tried to crank it, seemed like the battery was getting tires. Then the starter start to grind and just spin. Motor isn't turning over. I pulled the plugs and it looks rich. I had plenty of oil and there was no coolant in the oil, so im not suspecting a blown head gasket. I don;t think the engine is seized, since it wouldn;t have turned over for so long after shutting down.

Im getting it towed and then ill jeck it up and look at my starter.

Any ideas on what i should start looking at other than that fuel system?

pull your starter.. check ALL the teeth on your flywheel. make sure they are in tact. make sure your ground wires are clean and solid on your starter.. beat on your solonoid a bit if its still not starting.. if it engages, drive your car to the parts store and get a starter.. or solonid if possible

Would a starter cause a car to stop running while it is driving?

Yep. Free-spinning starter == dead solenoid. I don't think you should be missing so many flywheel teeth as to prevent a start. Bump the engine a few degrees by pushing the car a few feet in 5th gear. If it still doesn't grab, it's your starter.
