Ok I recently installed a new cd player into my 2002 Z24. After I intsalled it my dashboard gauges aren't working, and my air bag light on the dash won't go off. So I figured maybe, it needs to be reset. So I unplug my battery and leave it alone for a few minutes. I put it back on and start her up and she doesn't stay running for more than 2 seconds. All the fuses in the fuse box and under the hood are fine. I talked to a tech and he said the computer needs to be rebooted, and that I should force her to stay on and drive her around long enough for it to kick back up. I get off the phone and try this, and nothing I can't keep her running, she automatically kills herself in the middle of a rev. And Since its after 5 here, the Tech is no longer reachable. I have been told that the anti-theft might have something to do with it, but since I don't have a light on the new cd player I can't tell if it is on or off. How do I go about finding out what is wrong and how do i fix it without spending more than $1000???? All help will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it is something with the theft system. Read/search through the forums to see what others have done to resolve this.

Also..... the anti theft system for the stock stereo isn't what is making the car die..... It's the anti theft system in your car.... look for the anti theft light in your gauge cluster.
