quick A/C help

well my AC doesnt work, i searched and read the sticky.

i checked, and i am not getting any current to the little connector that hooks up to the compressor. my compressor is fine, since i tried hooking it up directly to the battery, and it worked fine. so im 99% sure its a fuse..

i checked the fuses in the dash, and theyre all fine... so im guessing its either the relay, or one of those block looking type fuses........

so question #1. where is the relay? can anyone take a pic?

question 2: what block fuses in the engine compartment have anything to do with the AC? I know theyre labeled on the fuse cover, but mines painted lol so i cant read.

thanks beforehand

Have the system pressure checked. If its low on refrigerant, it won't send juice to the compressor clutch. BTW, the relay is right next to the fuel relay. The fan relay is the huge square one on the end, the 2 identical ones in the middle are fuel and A/C, pull them one at a time with engine running. The one you pull that doesn't kill the engine is the A/C. I can't remember which is which right now.

hmmm the fuses were fine, so i guess my last resort is to have it filled up with freon. since it is empty, more than likely thats why it doesnt turn on then..

Yea, low refrigerant pressure keeps it from coming on, because the refrigerant circulates the oil, and if its low on refrigerant, oil won't flow and the compressor would fry.
