This is very strange thing thats ever happened to me. For some reason, when the car is off... the lights around the gauge cluster stays on. Im speaking of lights like "service due soon", "CEL", Oil pressure, DRL... etc etc.
Here is whats going on with my car... I get in the car, I try to start it... sometimes it doesnt start, and sometimes it does start. I am thinking my starter is going bad or my alternator is going bad. I check the battery, still green in that reading off the AC Delco battery. I was puzzled for a few days on what the hell is going on with it. When i was able to start it, I drive it for a while, and then turn it off. I try starting it, it starts no problem. Then After a day, damn car wouldn't start. I checked the battery, low green color. Then I started to realize its probably the battery that is going bad.
THEN TONIGHT.... I was taking out the trash and I noticed my light was still on my gauge cluster. Im like... did I leave the keys in there? I double checked and nope, no keys. So I disconnected my negative battery and checked again. They were all off. Now Im even more confused than ever on how this can happen that the lights remains on with no key?
Reason for not noticing this before is because the lights around the gauge cluster had white instead of black for display. If you looked closely in the pic below.. you'll see why I couldn't see it during the daytime.
So, anyone know the possible cause for this? This is very annoying!
THANKS!!!!

There is no aftermarket alarm.
Bad ground? where? Negative battery was bolted tight on the battery.
Guess Who's back!!!
BCM or cluster malfunction would be my guess.
