I recently had my car battery die after accidently leaving my lights on....I have done this several times before so I just tried jumping it.....I left the cables connected for longer than usual just in case....Well the car wouldnt turn over.....But the weird thing is that my dome light comes on and my trunk pop still works....The cd player was even coming on for a little bit....Its like the battery still has juice in it but not enough for it to turn over...I was thinkin maybe a new alternator?....lemme kno.......thanks

you can only drain the battery a few times before it will no longer hold a charge. just get a new battery......and if you have a habbit of leaving lights on, get an optima. they can be drained and charged alot more

Yup.. it sounds like your batter is discharged.

Get a new battery and stop leaving your freaking lights on.

Leaving your lights on till the battery dies (and doing it several times) then jumping/recharging it is deep cycling it. Most regular car batteries can't handle deep cycling like that and its pretty much ruined the plates giving you a bad cell or 2 or 6. I 2nd Weebel, replace the battery and just remember to shut the lights off. The Optima Yellowtop is the one you'd want if you continue leaving your lights on, it can handle deep cycling. Is your door chimes not working?

I took the fuse out when i was hooking up a system in my car ... it was getting on my nerves and i forgot to put it back in...guess ill have to do that.....thanks everyone
