I finally scanned my Z for the first time, got tired of resetting the comp. and the Cel and ETS lights use to come back in a few weeks, what came out was P0107 and P0705 now according to the sticky it means :
1) MAP sensor circuit low voltage
2) Trans. Range switch circuit
What can I do to fix these codes? I will check the Chilton guide but will appreciate any help.
On the first code, the MAP sensor check for a broken vacuum line to the map sensor, if that checks out ok then replace the map sensor, the second one, well I would check the sensor and replace if necessary.
This is my 5 cents worth, (normally is would be 2 cents worth but I have adjusted it for inflation)
Car I drive:
99 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L 5 spd man (My daily car)
98 Ford Escort ZX2 4 spd auto
On the MAP sensor alot of the times when the scan reads "Circuit" it is not the sensor itself but the electrical wiring between the sensor and the OBD.... The OBD is getting a reading from the sensor but it is more or less garbage that the OBD cannot read.
Peace.....Dan
