NO POWER! HELP!

I just bought a 96 Z24 and the guy I bought it from said he had no idea what was wrong with it. I've tried putting a fresh battery on it and it gets nada power to anything. any suggestions??

Check your alternator. It may be shot. Also make sure you have good connection. Check for any corrotion on the cables.

Is there any kind of Theft lock on this car?? It dosnt say it like have seen others say on the radio.

I would definitely disconnect the battery, check the connections on the battery and the cable connections to them then disconnect the Negative battery Ground connections to the chassis and engine block.
There may be one of these ground connections under the battery tray.

Can you reconnect and then post the result.

Well you gotta elaborate alittle more...

Do you get power to the car but it doesnt turn over?
Do you NOT get power to the car? (no radio, lights, etc)
AT or MT?
Do you see a big screw driver in the ignition? (LOL j/k)


Be a bit more discriptive so we can better help you out man!

Ok found the problem, they took all the grounds off for some stupid reason so I connected all those and tried to start the car and ...................the number 4 rod is broken in half. Oh well I only paid $250 for the car didnt expect it to be perfect. Thanks for all the help! now to find a motor.
