ok, here is the problem, i have my 2.4 with the 086 head and oil pmp swap. las september, i blew the head gasket. i was using a 2.4 gasket... i know its my mistake! in november, i replace it with a 2.3 gasket and store the car until is was ready for paint which was in june. paint is done and battery was dead so i said heck, i'll check the oil just to be safe and there is PLENTY of coolant in the oil. its real bad. so i took it to a mechanic since i didn't have time to do it again. took tyhe head off and gasket was good. had the head checked by a macine shop and its leaking but not enough to cause that. so now what, its the block???
what could it be? i dont understand. would the 2.3l oil pump swap is near any coolant passage?

Did you ever change your oil after swithing to the 2.3 head gasket? Maybee the coolant is still there from a leak caused back when you where using a 2.4 head gasket. If a gasket is off by even a little, it can cause major problems. I lost all oil pressure once on my motorcycle because a gasket was less then a centimeter off.

Also, did you drain your collant or oil when you pulled the head?

lol, yes off course i did change the oil. i changed it 3 times. flushed the coolant also as you need to do this to take the head off....

I wouldn't think any coolant or oil passages would just crack and start leaking inside the engine so it's prob something else.

I have heard people talking about O86 heads having problems with the oil and/or coolant passages not linning up correctly with the 2.4 block, if any of that is true, maybee that has something to do with your problem. It's just what I've heared, hopefully someone with an O86 head will know for sure.

yeah, its the coolant passage that are not lining but you just gotta make them a little bigger. that just cant be the problem. i know for sure...
