The airbag light is blinking at you? Thats never a good thing. Sounds like you may have a problem with the module. You can always go to the dealer and have them pull the airbag codes for you (OBD-II reader won't work, need the Tech-II or equiv.). May have to end up replacing the airbag module. Dealer prices are outrageous, unless its still under warranty. If not, and the module IS bad, eBay often has airbags for the Cavs, any drivers module from 03+ would work.

do u hear a click when u push the steering wheel? if u do your acutal horn is bad, if you dont chances are your spring behind the airbag isnt lined up correctly. Happen to all 3 of my cavalier, i take off the airbag realign this spring behind it, (theres only one) and it will work

Yea, in that case, either the relay (the click) is bad, the horn itself, or the clockspring. Hell, its unlikely, but the contacts in the front of the module could even be bad, VERY unlikely, but possible.

if it doesnt click = clock spring, or relay
if it does click its the actual horn

Okay people above are morons and have no clue about cars. This is why hvent been here a lot lately, sick of bad advice like the above posters.

Take a 12V test light, unplug your horn, stick the end of the test light into the hot wire of the horn, with the test light grounded.

Have someone hit horn, does the light light up, if yes horn assembly is bad, if not wiring problem.

The one guy above says a airbag module is bad, because the light blinks at you. He really has no clue about cars and I would take any advice from him, I'd be lucky if I took the time of day from him.

If the light stays on, you can get a code using TECH II, but there ae hundreds of reasons for an airbag light to be on.

Yours is currently off, so dont worry about it

I didn't say it WAS bad, I said it MAY be bad. And as for that light coming on, sometimes the wiring for the passenger airbag gets corroded, if you ever have the dashpad off and that light has come back on, check the wiring to the passenger airbag module, its a common problem.
