I have had a slow leak on our 99 Cav and I was told that when it stopped cooling just to add some freon and thats what I have been doing. Just a few days ago it started acting weird. Usually before I would need to add freon it would slowly stop cooling and I knew to add some freon, but now it just started cycling the AC clutch real quick on for a few seconds off for a few seconds and so forth. Makes the engine buck kinda bad. Any suggestions? I tried adding some freon but can't really because it seems to cycle oddly, I can feel the surge in the freon can when the AC comes on and it stops as soon as the AC stops. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
thats a sign you need more 134. do you have a gauge? if not, get one. our systems seem to be a little higher on pressure than most...

Well it t\urned out that I had a bad connection on my on my (IAT) intake air temperature sensor. One of the wires was bad and would lose connection. This caused the A/C to not function right. I have since repaired the break and all is working good!
