when my other spoiler was on my car it would be on when my lights were on and glow a brighter red when i hit the breaks now it only glows when i hit the breaks why?

Mine does the same... it would be nice if it was on with the lights on and bright when you hit the brakes.
Its because technically, its called a center high mounted stop lamp (CHMSL) and only supposed to come on with the brakes applied.
If your other spoiler was doing that, someone mucked up the wiring.
