My engine has a steady oil leak and it appears to be coming from the oil pressure switch / sending unit on the back of the engine. It's a 1995 2.2L with about 134k miles. It goes through about a quart of oil every month, and I'm tired of checking the oil religiously. So I got a new switch and it looks like you just unscrew the old one and screw in the new one. There is a 3 pin connector on the end of the switch. Its damn near impossible to get to being on the back of the engine and below the intake manifold, AND covered in oil. I don't have a socket wide or deep enough to fit onto it. Is this my only option, or how else can I get this switched out? Any help is appreciated.
just get an oil pressure sending unit socket there not that expensive or have a local shop do it take less than 10 min. also try going threw the pass side fenderwell, with tire removed and car on jackstand of course.
Oh I did not know there was a special socket just for them. Thank you!
