oil spray from back of block?
Wednesday, July 18, 2007 5:02 AM
Alright well i got a parts sunfire from a friend that he rolled over. the motors a 2.4 and im goin to be buildin it up into a beast lol. My question today is. We started the motor up after puttin fresh oil in since half the oil leaked out because of being upside down and drove the car for a while (yes we are rednecks and we drove a rolled over car for fun) and afterwards we noticed the firewall was covered in oil spray. Anyone know what this could be from? Does really matter to me if its like a blown gasket or something just hoping its not a crack in the block.

it could be from alot of things, i know that on the ln2 you have the oil filter on the back side of the motor along with the oil pressure swtich. it could also just be that the valve cover gasket is loose or is torn and oil will spray from there. at least those were my two experiences, on a different note did you finally get pics of your car with wheels? if so post them or email them to me, i was talking to you on AIM and you said you were going to thats why i ask.
