My 96 Pontiac Sunfire was in a car accident where the left front wheel hit the concrete wall. Well, I have a sound coming from that left driver wheel side. I'm thinking it is the wheel bearing, but first I have a problem with getting the brake calipers off. From the accident, the caliper pins are pushed out a little. Is there a special tool to get these out?
3/8 allen socket and a ratchet handle is what I use to take the caliper bolts out. What sort of sound is it making? And if you slammed it that hard, you might take it in and get the alignment checked too. There may be parts damaged that the eye can't see, but an alignment rack can. Make sure if you do get that checked, you have a known good wheel on though, a bent rim would throw the readings off.
