Can someone tell me how to use it on our engines?
On my scort I just took off the brake booster vaccum line and let it sip it up till its gone
Any walk-throughs?
Stupid question, but where is the brake booster vacuum line?
I should know this, I swapped this engine in myself, but I don't...
It's plainly visible. The large black drum on the driver's side should have a tube running to it. That's the vacuum line. Typically I get aquarium tubing and shove a length up the booster line and I put the other end in the bottle of seafoam. It's not a perfect seal, plenty of air rushes past the tube, but it's enough of a vacuum that it draws the seafoam into the engine. Since plenty of air rushes in there too, the fluid gets dispersed pretty well, RPMs increase and it doesn't choke the engine.

So you can just pour the Seafoam into the booster hose, and the engine won't hydrolock? Ir is it just more prudent to let the stuff dribble in slowly?
It's petroleum based so the engine still burns it. Just smokes alot
how long does it take for the engine to burn off all of it?
5 to 10 minutes at the most
restores compression, cleans out carbon deposits, it's wicked stuff, but I cannot find it anywhere
and NAPA doesn't have it? The one in Key Largo has cases of the stuff at the counter!

hmm, I haven't checked NAPA yet, I checked out crappy tire, wally world, and parts source with no luck, next stop? Napa
Thanx again

vacuum coming from the brake booster doesnt really allow enough to hydro lock the motor (in a damaging way), however you will have to play with the throttle to keep it from stalling.

I've also heard that you can dribble water in that vacuum line as well, to sort of "steam" clean the carbon deposits off the valves and piston face. I'm leery of trying that one, but I will try the seafoam trick.
never heard of that one Greg, i use seafoam on every vehicle i own and that stuff is amazing. Just make sure you do it in a well ventilated area or out in your driveway, cuz first time i did it in my garage = very bad idea! reason being it was like 50 degrees outside, and my garage was warmer.
Yeah, you don't want to be running out of a smoking garage coughing up that stuff in plain view of your neighbors...

I trickled the stuff slowly into the air inlet to the injection, got lots of smoke, never seemed to really do anything for the engine though.
I just used it on mine, and combined with a fresh oil change it makes a world of a different.
Awesome stuff
to late, all the neighbors were out and about! so it was kind of embarrasing but it was my first time doing it on my first truck, when i was 15. pretty funny wish i would of video taped it.
I could only imagin what was running through their heads lol
they were kind of wondering why there was smoke comming out of my garage, at first they thought my truck was on fire but i reassured them that it was supposed to be doing that!
