Cavalier Overheating at Idle 2.4

First off I have read all of the threads concerning this issue. I have a 98 Cavalier 2.4 and the engine overheats while idleing. I have replaced the thermostat, replaced the water pump, the fan works fine. I have also replaced the head gasket, and the coolant hoses. I have flushed the heater core andthe radiator, and both have excellent flow. I have also looped the heater core off. After playing with ideas, I havecometo no answer this just doesnt make sense... Any help would be appreciated. I have run out of parts to replace almost everything on the caras far as cooling is new. Any responses with ideas would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
Ben

so does the fan come on while its sitting there? if it does, does this help at all? does the temp come down with the fan/heat on?

Whats your thermostat opening at? If you get a Thermo too low, all the fluid is doing is circulating from the tank to the radiator to the engine and back, where as it should stay in the radiator to cool up then tranfer fluid after the thermos opening point.

Just my guess!

Hope it helps
