hey, guys....been a long time since i've posted on here... I have a 96 fire, and just replaced all the brakes at all four corners......now my rear brakes are vibrating kind of like a pulsation but NOT in the pedal...in the whole car when i hit the brakes at highway speeds...i know this because at highway speed, and just to say pull on the ebrake, they do the same thing.. I have them adjusted so that they just to say drag the drum...( can turn the drum by hand, with very little drag from the shoes. ) Does anyone know what is causing this, I used good quality Delco shoes, drums, and spring kit.
Thanks.....
Pat
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence you tried!
its a possibility that the drum is out of round...have them resurfaced and see what happens
Resurfaced?? these things are brand new, NOT cheap drums, from AC Delco......I've never had a problem with the drums from them...... any other ideas????

The shoe material could be incorrect for the drums, try with your old shoes any brake shop will rebuild them cheap and with a softer material, it worked fine for me.
Its highly possible you put two front shoes on one side, and two back shoes on the other, or you put the front shoes facing rear, and rears facing front. Its easy enough to do.
You are exactly right!! after looking at them closely, i realized that the passenger side was OK, but I put the primary shoe on the rear of the drum on the driver side....DUUHH!! swapped them around, and BINGO! fixed! Thanks for your help gentlemen!!
