Power Steering question
Monday, July 16, 2007 9:54 PM
I'm going through the lots of pics I'm taking during my engine swap, and none of 'em have a good angle of where the lines connect to the rack. I had to take 'em out so they were out of the way, and now I have no idea which is the high side and which is the low. I know which line is which, just not which hole on the rack they connect to... anyone know? Rack is from a 97 Fire

You would think that GM, in their infinite wisdom, would have designed it so that one of the ports is a bit larger than the other, so there would never be any question. From what I can tell in my Helm guide, the upper fitting on the rack (closest to steering shaft)is return, the lower (closest to the actual rack) is pressure.
