I have a 2002 ecotec and i have a coolent leak but im not sure where its coming from. the low coolent light keeps going off or flashing. And i just filled it a month a go and now its low again. Im hoping its just a busted hose but i dont see any thing. I just see its a puddle on the ground. I think its a slow leak. And how hard is it to change the water pump. What is a good brand to replace it with or are there any perfromance water pumps for the ecotec

One way to see if your w/p is bad is to look for water dripping out of the weep holes,.

Leaky weepy hole = blown pump seal = soon to fail shaft bearing = car on side of road.

Run your finger under the snout of the pump right behind the pully. If your finger comes back wet, the pump is shot.
