check this out it's a 2001 cavalier z24 pretty much stock with a loud coffee can exhaust thats it. i've had 3 engines put into this car throughout the years by a nearby chevy dealer now i've noticed theres a loud knocking noise when i accelerate from a stop when im at about 2800- 3500 rpm's. It's obvious it's a rod knock and the motor that they installed is way out of warranty, this is my only ride for now whats the best way to start with this problem? possibly the cheapest way . Any tips would be great help for me
Yeah,.... time for a crank kit and a new (better then stock) oil pump.
