i replied to a thread with something similar to this but ill post and see if i get any info. from time to time my pass drl doesnt work, actually i dont know for sure if it ever works. also when i turn on the brights it seems they both come on but so does the service light, when i kill the brights the indicator on the dash remains on as does the service light....any help? is it just a loose wire or ground or something like a relay for the drl? help please thanks a bunch

What year car and make of car do you have? I had a problem with my 99 cav the pass high beam light didn't work (also the drl both didn't work) found out that the wire near the pass side head light was worn though and had corroded, so I cut out the bad wire and replaced it and the high beams work great to this day!

This is my 5 cents worth, (normally is would be 2 cents worth but I have adjusted it for inflation)

Car I drive:
99 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L 5 spd man (My daily car)
98 Ford Escort ZX2 4 spd auto

Check wiring, possible loose/corroded ground since you describe it as an intermittent problem.
