Help with pulling 2.4L (5spd) from the top

Alright, I'm sitting on the computer over here at the shop and me and my dad are pulling the motor from the black car and plan on putting the S/C motor from my old red car in tomorrow. We're having some problems tryin to pull the motor from the top. We know it can be done, because one of the guys that used to work here has done it a few times. Anyone have any helpful hints on what the trick is? Do you have to take the crank pulley off to be able to have room to slide the motor out to the side or what?

take the trans mounts off and pull the trans over to the side that will give you enough room to get it out with out removing the acc's . done this a few times =)

Thanks...my dad got it out while I was out work this morning. The M45'd LD9 is in right now. Just gotta hook up some wires and bolt the header back on and top it off. Thanks.
