i wanted to cahnge my oil and oil filter 2day.. one problem.. i cant fin d the oil filter.. does any 1 know where this is on an 2004 cavalier???

yeah its on top under the intake manifold on the driver side ... its a canister style filter so look for a black plastic cap with a large nut shape on the top of it...
it will be an inch and a qtr head on the cap you need to remove. i had the same problem when i first got my 04.
