i got a 91 sunbird and my steering it loose and it locked up a bit when i went to turn today?? i have no clue i check tie rods, and its not them, when i turn sharply my wheel feels like it hops a little bit,. Idk if its causes becauses i threw bigger rims on my car and maybe the distoreded the steering?? idk i need help tho asap !!!
Enough power steering fluid? Power steering belt tight enough?
i checked my fluid, a while back i down a little bit, and i dont kno where the belt is , is it the serpentine belt because thats new?
Power steering belt is the one that rotates the power steering pump, on Cavaliers Z 24 there is no belt and the pump is rotated by the camshaft but must cars have one and it can be located by locating the pump which usually is under the power steering fluid reservoir, this belt has to be tight so it won´t slipp.
alright, i was talkin to a buddy of mine from goodyear, he said that it might be a tie rod , because i can feel something when i turn, idk how to explain it but ive driven it for 2 yrs, and now i feel a difference like something it messed up
