Hey - I recently tried to install an apexi safcII unit on my car, I went around with a voltmeter to test all the wires at the sensors that it needed to be hooked up to. I never installed it and gave up. Now my car threw a p0122 yesterday, and I cleared it, checked the TPS and it reads good to go, and no problems for the rest of the night.
THis morning I start it and it throws a p0123, but still runs. I figured Id drive it to work because I was running late, and id deal with the surges and everything, as i drive on backroads anyways.
I get out of my parking lot and speed up, but it wont shift. The CEL and Trac Off lights are both on. The code its throwing is p0123 (TPS sensor high voltage) the idle was high, but i didnt figure it'd screw with the trans.
Does this sound like if i replace the sensor and reset the computer then Id be good to go? or is something else the matter?
Im ONLY getting p0123 from the CEL, and Ive never had any transmission issues (aside from the hard shifting because of the IAT once and now because of the TPS)
Solutions?
thanks!
I would check the wiring connection (p0123 (TPS sensor high voltage) the idle was high). Also the part could be failing, Also need replacing.
GoodLuck.
I actually am going to change the sensor. I checked the wiring and everything seemed good. Im sure I can fix the TPS problem, but what Im mainly concerned with is why the trans wont shift out of first? Im hoping that fixing the sensor and deleting the CEL code will solve it. Anyone know for sure?
Wouldnt the trans throw a code if it was having a problem?
thanks for the help so far!
