Every once on a while both CEL & ETS dash lights come on together, I used to do the comp reset trick and they use to go off for several month, now they come back in a few days, any help on what is the most probable cause will be very appreciated.
Chapter II .- Now the car when shift to D it rises rpmīs to around 2000 no matter if it is warm or cold and seems as if tries to keep the idle higher than usual... no more ETS and CEL lights yet. I cleaned the IAC and will test it tomorrow, although I found some short gray hairs in the engine bay and am afraid a rat may have been around and bitten some wires!
I checked all wires I could find and all are ok, the car run almost perfect today so I suspect this all had something to do with me washing the engine a few days ago, or could have been the IAC that was dirty, anyway itīs going to be ok. thks.
did the ETS light quit coming also//.....? Mine is doing this everyso often the pasy week, and i have tried looking into the problem yet, but wondered if you did anything that fixed this?

Yes, both lights went away and idle is back to normal, all I did was clean the IAC and reset the computer (with the engine off and ign. switch to on then disconnect the negative from battery wait some 5 to 10 mints. then ign. switch to off and last reconnect negative from batt. ) My best guess is some electrical part got wet and it dried up by now.
