hi everyone. I have a 95 2.2 5 speed cavalier with about 225,000km on it. Ever since I bought the car when I am driving in any gear except 5th the car seems to jerk a lot. It is far from a smooth ride. It is worse just after I upshift into 2nd from 1st. If it don't accelerate fairly quick the car will hitch really badly if the engine and tranny are cold. If I am driving through town about 50-60km per hour and I let off the gas the littlest bit, the car will hitch like it is revving too high or too low (the fact that I don't have a tach in my car doesn't help either). Everything is fine while I am accelerating, it only happens while I am cruising. I have checked the tranny fluid and it is fine. I'll take any ideas because my car is jerking itself to death. Sounds to me either you got worn tranny mounts, Or you upper lower mounts are worn as well, Or youre clutch could be grabbing, Due to wornout,
