For quite some time,I've had a problem with the wiperson my '90 Sunbird. The wipers will not shut themselves off. They turn off and on by themselves, and ifif I try to use the washer, it blows the fuse.

I've had to pull the fuse whenever it's not raining, and keep a supply of fuses on hand in case I hit the washer buttton.

I tried for about two or three hours yesterday looking for a short in the wires. I believe I have a bad wiper motor?

Here lately, it has been blowing the fuse when I put the car in gear. Now, it blows the fuse as soon as you start the car.

What do you think?? If it is a bad wiper motor, then which one do I buy?? All the online sites list motors with or without delay, and also pulse wiper motors. All I know is that I have intermittent wipers.

This is really a frustrating problem! In 167,000 miles, this has been the worst problem we've had with this car. I guess we can't complain!

I would go to the wreckers and pick one up, Sounds to me the electronics have malfuctioned inside the wiper motor.
