What do you jack and stand up with?

Heh. Slightly misleading title.

Anyways, just wondering what everyone on the org use to lift and hold up their j-bodies.

I used a a thirty dollar walmart set... The wheels have flattened out to the side (making it near impossible to roll), ane arm is slightly canted to the right... The valve is half-rusted shut, and the the piston is in poor shape... Now give, it *was* outside for two months solid in the winter no less, however...

I decided to upgrade the jack (walmart-special stands still there, for now):

Michelin Aluminum racing jack, range 3-3/4"-18", with speedy-lift. 200 bucks CAD plus taxes, 1/3 off... and worth every friggin penny.

I use the same one as you there.... but I only paid $40 at Princess Auto for it...

Plus a hockey puck in the cup to soften the blow to the frame rail....

Aluminum or steel?

We don't have a Princess Auto around here, only a "Tool Town", but their version is steel... This is the only local version out of aluminum. PA is on my next stop down in the GTA.

I've got (access to) a floor jack in the typical style, but it uses shop air pressure instead of hydraulics. It also has a handy locking catch when in the fully raised position. Couldn't tell you who makes it though -- it's probably been around for at least 30 years.

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
