Does anyone know what size allen head is used to take off the brake calipers?
And what size socket I need to take off the rotor?
The biggest one I have is 1inch an 1/16 and it was too small. And I'd rather not just guess b/c this is my only car and I don't want to waste time taking it on and off figuring out with size these two tools are. Thanks!
uhh... the rotor just comes off. its not bolted on. it may be RUSTED on, and you hit it with your foot or a hammer and it comes off, but as for bolted on, no. that large nut in the center is what holds your axle in the hub.

3/8 allen, if you mean the two screws that hold the caliper, this is on my 96 Z-24, I keep one in the glovebox so the guys at the shops don't damage the screws when changing pads or hubs as they did sometime ago.
and dont try to take of the bolt for the axle. it uses a 30mm deep socket btw. but you just take out the two bolts on the caliper and then slide the caliper off and then the rotor will be free. be careful not to beat the rotor to bad as you will damage the wheel bearings or hub assembly.
Penetrating lubricant is your best friend in this case, PB blaster seems to work good and you can buy it at any parts store for a couple bucks.
yah i had a problem figureing that bolt out too, it difernt than on the frist gens. i could go look but i remember it was a big allen, im shure luis is right. go to napa and get one to fit a 1/4 inch drive socket. once the caliper is oof the rotor will come right out too. get some wire to hold the caliper while you work.
