is this ball joints

hey guys, I noticed driving today a sound that makes me think that my ball joints are getting bad. When I am idling, and turn my wheel back and forths quick i can feel it in the steering wheel and here something kind of making a click or clunking noise. Also when i am driving down the road, going straight there seems to be more noise then there should be, when i turn left it get's alot worse, turn right it's normal. I replaced my two wheel bearing's, could this be the only thing it could be.
Also if it is my ball joint's it will only be the top ones right?
Thanks

Cavaliers only have one control arm, these are not short arm/long arm or torsion bar, only one control arm, only one ball joint.

To test ball joints, have car in neutral, lift off ground, check for play up and down, if play is there it is the ball joint.

Sounds like the steering intermediate shaft. You can pick up a lube kit at any GM dealer.

exactly what zsquee24 said, GM came out with what they call "TSB" about this, they make a lube kit for it, or if you so chose they have actually came out with a new updated shaft that runs about 92.00 bucks list price. my 01 cav had the same problem, repair shop did the lube job and took care of it, haven't had a problem anymore, o and by the way the TSB stated there was no mechincal failure with the part it was just a noise issue.
