Hey guys: here's the problem, whenever, i drive. I hear a rattleing noise. I believe its my crank pulley, but not sure. Can you guys help me out please.
thanks
sounds like the pulley that drive all your accessories, take a look at it from the passenger side/underneath, you will likely see the washer is loose and it needs a little torque with an impact.

be sure to check all your heat shields.. my fuel tank shield wear out on me.. sounded awful, cut it out and wrapped it with heat cloth.. check your exhaust mani shield... shift your battery.. see if its loose.. start the car and look/listen around..

not to be a dick or anything but make sure you dont have a rattlecan of paint or something of the sort underneath your seat, or hidden or stuck somewhere on your vehicle.
-sorry for threa jackin
True story, I worked at Baron BMW had a lady come in with a 525i brand new, said she had rattling noise well we test drove the car and for the life of us we could not find out what it was. sat in it again and heard a little noise, looked under the seat and it was a rattlecan of matching paint for her vehicle she had purchased in case she got chips or scratches on her car.
-done thread jacking you can have it back now, Sorry!
I had a rattling noise start a couple days after I bought the car, freaked me out because it was coming from the area right by the transmission and only seemed to happen when the engine was at low revs or had just shifted. Instead of a bad tranny, turns out one of the brake lines was rattling up against part of the firewall. Bought a 99 cent tube of pipe insulation, ziptied it in place over the brake line, and haven't heard the noise since.
