1994 Cavalier Coupe.
Can I get a new parking brake equalizer anywhere?
I went to adjust it, since it was slipping, and...
Some moron who used to own my car managed to bust it, and held it back together with a hose clamp.
I need to replace it, or else I have no parking brake. That's not a good thing to have happen on a stick shift...
Can anybody help me out?

Junkyard or GM dealership parts department. (or you could just jack one off some 2nd gen sitting out outside of wal-mart)

Just be happy you have an adjuster, my 3rd gen doesn't and my cable is stretched so I have to park it in gear all of the time.

I wish I could jack one, but with my luck, I'd get caught.
Oooh... You need a new cable... That sucks... majorly...
I'd like to keep this thread on topic, but... I've wondered...
I can't even drive a 3rd gen... My grandmother has an AT 3rd gen, and I can't drive it. With the seat all the way back, my head hits the roof right near the windshield.
How's the legroom? With my 2nd gen, I have trouble with the pedals. I can hit the clutch, but I have to crook my leg to keep it on the accelerator...
I'd love to pick up a 3rd gen, but... If it's gonna be painful to drive... Boy does my grandmother's cavalier pick up and go though...
Well, I guess I get to go see the boys at GM. Either that, or hope that a local junkyard has a Cavalier or something sitting around...
If the junkyard has one, that'd be nice, since I need an IAC, a shifter, and a cluster with a tach in it to swap in. I've wanted a tach since I got the car.
If I can find a cluster to fit it with a tach on it, I'm gonna swap that bad boy.
Okay... Back on topic...

How tall are you man? I'm 6'2 driving a 2 door 3rd gen, and I have TONS of legroom, and have no probs with the clutch at all. I absolutely will NOT sit in the backseat of a 3rd gen coupe though, last time I did I almost got a concusion when my ex drove my car over some rough railroad tracks and my head cracked against the back glass.
(I need to go premium, edit would be wonderful here) You mentioned when you drove your grandmothers car that your head was almost hitting the windshield right? Is her car a sedan? Was the seatBACK tilted back any? I mean no disrespect, but most grandmothers I've encountered (including mine) tend to hug the steering wheel, with the seat tilted way too far forward for younger folks like us.
And as for the equalizer, I agree with the above guys, try a wreckyard before you pony up the plastic at GM, or go on GMpartsdirect.com or newgmparts.com. They ought to have it cheaper than the dealer, although they tend to charge excessively for shipping (GMPD charged me 10 bucks to ship a box barely big enough for 2 beer cans wtf?).
I haven't checked this forum in awhile. You sit a little higher in the cabin in a 3rd gen opposed to under the dash in a 2nd gen (I prefer the later), but other than that, it's about the same head and leg room wise. Although people say the passenger seat in my sunfire, has less leg room than my sunbird did, but the drivers side is fine.
