I really can't wait till my gf gets rid of this car, seems like I'm tinkering on it everytime I get some free time hahah. Anyways, it's 98 cavalier, LS model, 4 door. Original problem was the drivers side high beam wouldn't work. I thought great, it's just a burnt out headlight, no big deal. But no, not with this car. Replaced the bulb, still no go.. I didn't have time to mess it any further, so we took it to Canadian Tire.. Ughh..
He said it was a wiring problem, but they could fix it. Well, the headlights work now. But.. Daytime running lights are no longer working, the little daytime running light indicator flashes a bunch of times rapidly when you start the car. Also the dash lights are on, even when the headlights are off

Dash lights come on when you put it in drive, then go off when it's in park. Even weirder, the door chimes will ding a few times, when the door is open, as if the headlights are on, but they're not lol. Also if you turn the headlights on, then off, they stay on for a few seconds before turning off...
The car didn't do any of those things before the morons at Canadian tire starting to mess around with it. They refuse to fix it without charging more. Which is ok with me, cause I don't want them touching the car anymore. I'm tempted to just go to the junkyard, and take the harness of a similar year of car.. Any ideas? I'm afraid with these many wiring messups, it might catch on fire.

sound likes they jumped some wiring, check behind the headlight to see if they tapped in to any wires, or look under the dash even....from what i know the switch tends to go bad on our cars ( someone correct me if im wrong), but right now my low beam doest work on one side and my bulbs/fuses are good....i havnt changed the switch yet but im gonna take it to the dealer just so i dont have to pay for it...hopefully they dont give me sh*t for my alarm....GL
