grinding sound during hard turn

I think I may have beat up my car too much. I have an 03 sunfire and whenever I make a quicker sharp turn, or I take a turn too fast, this nasty sounding grinding noise comes from the front. At slower speeds there is no sound at all. I am thinking maybe the CV joints or the rack and pinion, what does this sound like to you guys?

Alot of the times have found it to be a bad Gm hub bearing. could also possibly be a bad cv joint.

If it were my wheel bearing, wouldn't it do it all the time? I have never had one go out on me. It has 80k on it so I hope its not the CV joints. Wheel bearings are usually cheap, so ill replace those first.

I am also wondering if it could be your differential, even though you said it doesn't make noise at slow speeds

Not if its just starting to go out, alot of claims that i do (work for extended warranty company) deal with this complaint, and half the time the hub bearing is just starting to go out and the customer just doesn't know it, as far as being cheap, GM hub bearings come sealed so there is no way just to replace bearings, and they usually run anywhere from $120.00 to close to 200.00 depending on model and year for aftermarket parts.
