underneath the PRND21 gearshift on a 2004 Cavalier. You should lighty pry up on that plastic part?
Anyone know the bulb number

Take the center console out. Four bolts... two in the rear (armrest bit, at the bottom of the compartment) one at the front under the little cover, and one in the middle under the little holder/power window switches if you have that option. Lift it up, it's a small bulb... don't know the number off hand.
o to help out a bit more...remove the @!#$ knob little c-clip then just lift the baby out be careful not to break any plastic covering the light bulb very fragile 1 at the bottom left and 2 at the top right holding the PRND cover on, or you can just turn the light socket (right) and it falls out
