Hi guys, I'm in the middle of a turbo install and was wondering about my coolant tank. I have to relocate it, and the most convenient spot for it is under my charge pipe that goes to the throttle body. This puts it at a lower level than the top of the rad. Now my friend thinks that it is an open system and that if the tank is not above the rad, then the rad will have an air pocket inside of it. However I've talked to two mechanics and they say it is not an issue, because of the way that the rad cap works.

Theres a picture there of how a simple overflow tank works, however that one is not under pressure like ours are, that's the older style. I'm wondering if the new pressurized ones, where you fill the tank itself work the same way? Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks,
Dave

Move battery into trunk and place coolant reservoir in place of battery. Seems like reservoir would be overfilled and will have air bubble in the rad.
