Talking to different people, there are different trains of thought, 28-32 psi thats it, though the max pressure may be 44 - I like to take 10% off - I want the gas mileage (highway driving). The comment made to me was that increased wear occurs at 33+ psi or the higher end psi's. Thoughts, comments are appreciated. Regards, Irv

I run 38 psi in my Yokohama es100's since I bought them new. 33+ is not going to hurt the tires. They will be fine, and "if" there is added wear, you will not really see it. I also run 36-38 psi in my HHR tires. I personally do not think there is that much of a difference, gas mileage wise. The stiffer the better, if your concern is for gas mileage.

this is like the 5th post ive seen about this in about 2 months. have we really gone from custom turbo setups to trying to figure out how much psi should be in our tires?

anyway around 33psi is ideal

Gotta start somewhere. I'm sure that someone could easily make up a statistic about how improperly inflated tires have cost owners enough money over the years to put turbo setups in all our cars.
