ok so i got a CEL last wednesday comin home from school. i go to check it with a scanner the next morning and the light goes out... gave the scanner back to my friend and the freakin light comes back on and stays on all weekend. got the scanner back this morning and checked for the code. then after i check it, the light goes out again(didnt even get a chance to clear it). the code was for an "emissions evaporation failure". code is gone, but id still like to diagnose it. im not 100% on any ideas of what the problem could be but my thinking is that it could either be an O2 sensor, or something to do with the EGR. any insight would be really helpful. am i close? or am i completely off? im sure the light will come back on soon, because i really dont think its a fluke or anything but until then i guess all i can do is speculate lol. if i dont figure it out by the time it comes on again i might just take it to the shop in town and have them deal with it.
