Have you gotten this fixed? I know this is an old post, but I have a similar problem, too the dashpad, instrument bezel, and upper airducts out and the mode actuator (the vacuum doohickey that changes what vents blow air) linkage had come off the mode flapper valve. Well, I looked in my Helm manual and compared the pictures to mine, and the damn piece that the linkage connects to on the flapper valve had broken off, so now I need to replace the mode flapper valve. Hope this helps you find what you are looking for at least.

Not to jack your thread, but I decided to attempt to repair my mode flapper valve. I ground off the nipple the linkage attaches to leaving just enough for the linkage to sit on, then I drilled an 1/8th" hole right through where the nipple was, stuck a bolt through it, put the linkage on, put a plastick washer over the bolt, and installed a nylon locknut on the bolt to hold it all together. Considerably stronger than stock, and it works great. Saved myself a trip to Pull-a-Part or the dealer, and saved myself some money, and learned just a little bit more about the guts in my dash. I should have taken some pictures, too late now though.
