Yeah needing help quick if any of you can. My Hynes manual says nothing on the subject. As far as I can tell the cable that is hooked up to my gas pedal is broke. I was driving down the road when all of a sudden the pedal got real tight. I gave the car gas and the cable got stuck then all of a sudden my pedal drops to the floor with the cable just dangleing. How do I fix this, where does the cable lead to how do I get in there to replace it??
In the planning stage for an all American TRD Cavalier.
Retaining 'knob' on the end of the cable may have broke off. If so, you probably won't be able to fix the old one. Get a new cable and put it in absolutely right behind the old one as you take it out.
throttle cable is easy goes from pedal to firewall where u have to squeeze 2 clips on inside of car to release it from firewall go into engine bay pull that end off the throttle pully and reinstall exact opposite
