Hey everybody..i just got a header back exhaust installed on my 03 ecotec sunfire. I have a pacesetter 4-1 header...Magnaflow hi flow cat...18" resonator 2.25" piping and 2 super turbo mufflers. Around 2 days after the install my check engine light came on...i brought it back to the shop and they hooked it up to the computer and said that both my 02 sensors were throwing codes. So they cleared them to see if they came back...well about 2 hours later my cel light came on again! Am i going to have to buy new ones or should i try something first? Where is the best place to buy these?

That's most likely why you get the code for the first 02

That's why you get the code for the 2nd sensor.
Most likely none are bad.

So what am i going to have to do for these? Is there anyway i can make it so the codes never come on again?
did you unplug the battery and let it sit for a few minutes?

nope i did not do that...im guessin i should do that? Should i do that after the codes are cleared or anytime?
well i tried it...the light came off..but then came on about 2 hours later..any other ideas?
the first sensor is either not getting hot enough, or the #1 cylinder (thats the one that tube goes to that has the sensor bung) is running "off". As for the second sensor, the first one reading wrong could be making the engine run too rich which the 2nd sensor can see, throwing THAT code. To fix the first sensor, look into what it would cost to plug the bung on the header, drill a hole in the collector, weld a bung there and install the sensor in that so it reads all 4 cyls. Hopefully its not a coated header, drilling could mess up the coating.
Just an edit to my above post, the RKsport header has the bung in the collector from the manufacturer, and is coated. Better header too I am told by some locals. More expensive though.
who could i talk to about doing this? I do have the ceramic coated header as well..is there any other options or am i sol?
A good muffler shop ought to be able to drill the hole and weld in a bung, but like I said, it'll mess up your coating. To get it looking good again, you'd have to find a place that can coat it.
