There seems to be a rattling kinda noise coming from drivers side of my '00 z24s engine. The sound is only heard at idle, a bit of gas and its gone. I was thinking power steering pump, but i dont know. It sounds like its coming from around there or under the power steering pump. PS pump is cam driven on my engine.

it only starts to do it after the engine has warmed up, its pretty loud..

My mechanic said it was the water pump and i had that and the timing chain done for $1500cnd only to find the sound still there, the water pump is on the opposite side of the engine but the sound seems to travel around in there.. i can be heard from a few spots making it difficult to pin point it out. But its gotten louder and i then its coming from the dirver side.

Any help would be appreciated.
